Irwell Valley Homes (IVH) is a housing provider with a strong commitment to sustainability, efficiency, and long-term value for money. Their approach focuses on investing in durable, high-performance lighting solutions, such as energy efficient corridor lighting and communal area lighting, that support both resident safety and environmental responsibility across their housing portfolio.
Project Overview
Lux Bright worked with Irwell Valley Homes to deliver energy-efficient lighting solutions designed for longevity, compliance, and sustainability. IVH sought fittings that would not only reduce maintenance needs but also align with their commitment to the circular economy by minimising waste and ensuring all components could be replaced rather than discarded.
Our Approach
To meet these objectives, Lux Bright implemented its innovative DualLED technology, an LED lamp change built into the fitting from Day 1. This approach ensures that each unit lasts up to twice as long as many alternative fittings on the market, providing significant long-term savings and reducing the frequency of replacements.
Sustainability was a key driver for IVH. All luminaires used in the project feature fully replaceable components, supporting the organisation’s environmental goals and commitment to the circular economy. Additionally, Lux Bright integrated ecoSMARTLED remote monitoring across IVH properties. This system automates the testing and reporting of emergency fittings, removing the need for routine monthly site visits. The technology not only reduces the organisation’s carbon footprint but also enhances compliance with BS5266 standards for emergency lighting systems.
Beyond technology, IVH valued Lux Bright’s customer service and attention to detail. Accurate, timely site surveys ensured efficient planning, while clear communication and documentation provided subcontractors with all the information needed to complete installations on time and to a high standard.
