About This Project
Client Overview
Plus Dane is a housing association that supports its clients to access housing in core neighbourhoods across Cheshire and Merseyside, offering support, advice, and services to help individuals live comfortably, safely, and independently in their homes.
Project Overview
Based in Liverpool, Plus Dane wanted a quality UK manufactured functional range of lighting products for use across its property portfolio having previously had a mixed experience with mass produced luminaires.
Our Approach
For more than eight years, Plus Dane have consistently utilised Lux Bright products and required a quality lighting solution that accounted for the nature of the environment, where the lights are installed in relatively warm care homes.
The DALI advanced photocell operation technology used is corridor function dimmable lighting with advanced photocell operation. This sensor has the ability to differentiate between natural and artificial daylight to solve the common problem of normal photocells cycling the light source on and off during non-daylight hours.
Lux Bright also developed a number of bespoke retrofit gear trays where changing the original fittings wasn’t an ideal solution. This ensured that existing infrastructure could be upgraded efficiently without compromising performance.
Technical Assurance
All the lighting products and bespoke retrofit gear trays were manufactured using high quality components and to Lux Bright’s standards. This approach ensured durability, reliability, and the longest possible usable product life, reducing maintenance requirements over time.
Results
Lux Bright delivered a lighting solution that accounted for the nature of the care home environment and supported Plus Dane’s mission to support clients to access housing and live comfortably. The use of the DALI technology ensures that artificial light doesn’t impact the lighting source and that it remains consistent during non-daylight hours.
